1 | initial consultation

  • After you complete and submit the design services form, Jen will contact you within 48 hours to discuss the scope of work, ask any additional questions, and determine if it’s a project fit for all parties.

  • Disclaimer: Jen believes in transparency, and during this initial consultation, she will inform you if JSD is not suitable to fulfill your request(s) depending on the scope of work. If your request is declined, she will absolutely do her best to refer you to another person and/or company that will be more capable of completing the job and exceeding your expectations.

2 | PROPOSAL + APPROVAL

  • Within (5) business days, JSD will send a proposal for the scope of work and an invoice for the 50% down-payment as discussed during the initial consultation.

  • Work will commence once JSD receives the signed proposal and down-payment.

  • During the project, if any additional scope is requested than previously agreed upon in the signed proposal, a change order(s) will be submitted for approval prior to moving forward; this change order will increase the overall amount due at completion.

3 | E-DESIGN + MOOD-BOARDS

  • E-design = virtual design. It allows for more flexibility in scheduling as well as the opportunity for Jen to connect with those of you who don’t reside in central Indiana.

  • Depending on the scope of work, it is during this planning phase when Jen will create at least (2) mood boards, which are visual presentations showing design options pertaining to your room(s) design style; these can include photos of furniture and finishes as well as space plans.

  • Discuss (in-person, over the phone or during a virtual call) your design options and determine the best fit for you and your budget

  • Revisions and additional research might be necessary depending on your needs

4 | Final design decisions

  • Final design decisions are approved - dependent on the mood board discussions, narrowing down the best options all with budget in mind.

  • Jen will provide you with links and specifications for the furniture, finishes, etc. (depending on the scope of work), that will need to be purchased and installed.

5 | execution

  • Product received and installed - address any issues as they arise

  • Painting of the mural or accent wall, if applicable

6 | follow-up

  • After all item(s) are received, installed, and complete, Jen will follow-up to ensure your absolute satisfaction with the space(s).

  • If you approve of the final results, she will send you a project completion form to sign and return as well as the final invoice for amount owed (including any change orders and/or mileage that were accrued during the project).

  • Once the signed project completion form and final payment are received, the project is considered closed.
